Been a long time since I saw a SAAB 2000 at BHX

Back on local turf again today and hearing that a once regular aircraft seen at BHX would be operating to date in the shape of SAAB 2000 OY-FSB what better place to take my lunch break than at the airport.

Another Day, Another Trip to Birmingham

A quick look on flight radar, showed a few things coming in today that I required. But being at work and never knowing where I'll end up I don't always get to pop into the airport.

Today summed that up. The required Pegasus Airbus A320Neo was missed due to being diverted to Northampton. I'd already missed the Titan Airways Airbus A321Neo the had positioned up from London Gatwick to operate for TUI. But another flight radar check at lunch showed it returning early afternoon to Birmingham. And Just as I pulled to the Elmdon side of the airport the Airbus was just turning onto finals for Runway 33.

Trip Report Birmingham (EGBB/BHX) 4th January 2025

Firstly Happy New Year to everyone. So the first trip of the year down to Birmingham (BHX) to catch the Etihad Cargo Boeing 777F that was operating into Birmingham today.
I didn't need this Aircraft as i saw it at Amsterdam last year, but with these visits being rare at Birmingham off I went. With the threat of snow all day and being bitterly cold I arrived at a packed Multi-storey car park.

The usual suspects where parked up with a Enter Air Boeing 737-800 parked up on the remote 70's stands and in front of me on the Elmdon Apron was National Boeing 747-400F N537CA. This would be later towed over to the terminal side to make way for the later freight arrivals, being a Maersk Air Boeing 767-300F and on its first visit to Birmingham Silkways Boeing 777F VP-BMU.

The nice thing about the Etihad freighter for me was that it was still wearing the old livery of the Airline.
