Late Summer Early Morning Visit To Manchester

Well it was back to my second home in the north this morning, Manchester Airport. So after a quick up at level 13 on the terminal one multi storey car park, I headed round to the south side viewing mounds. As I've said in my previous blogs when the sun is shining and it behind up there is no better place for me in the United Kingdom for plane spotting and photography.

The good thing that I love about Manchester is the early morning heavy traffic from the Middle East and Asian Countries. So here's what was noted around 0930 this morning:

    SE-RFZ TUI Boeing 787-9
    A6-EVB Emirates Airbus A380
    G-VRAY Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330

Another day another week but I still end up at my favourite place to take my lunch break. Today I had my break there for two reason. The first being a required Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 Max that had night stopped after operating a charter flight from Baku, which I had been told was bringing F1 teams back From the weekends racing. The second reason was the Pegasus Airbus A320Neo.

Super Sunday With A Couple Of Visits to Birmingham!

Snook out the house this morning to catch the first visit of the One Air Boeing 777F G-ONEG making its first visit from Baku whilst operating Silk Way West Airlines. This was just a quick visit for a photograph. At this time of the morning (06:00) the other aircraft are the same as I logged the other day. So after a quick five minutes I was back on the road home.

Later on in the day after being driven crazy by the children to go skating, I once again called in Birmingham to see what was about, and I could sum it up in one word "nothing". With the summer season now coming to an end I personally think that the winter is going to be slow with the number of movements, but hopefully the freight movements will bring the airport some interesting movements.

The following aircraft noted at around 17:45

    G-EZFT easyjet Airbus A319
    TC-JSY Turkish Airlines Airbus A321
    9H-WNP Wizz Air Airbus A321Neo
    D-AILB Lufthansa Airbus A319
    G-TAWW TUI Boeing 737-800
    9H-LOI Lauda Air Airbus A320
    G-TUKR TUI Boeing 737-800
    EI-HGW Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200
    9H-SWK Sun Express Airbus A320
    PH-EZM KLM cityhopper EMB 190
    OM-OEX Jet2 Boeing 737-800
    EI-DWD Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    EI-EXE Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    EI-EKO Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    G-TUIO TUI Boeing 787-9

Just as I got home an Asiana Airlines Airbus A350-900 HL8360 routing of my house for London Heathrow. I cant remember the last time I had a Korean Airliner fly over my house.

A Couple Of Flying Visits To Birmingham My Working Day

The Header says it all. Once again working around the Birmingham And Rugby area again today, so took the opportunity to make a couple of quick stops at Birmingham. Parked up today were a large number of Biz jets. I don't log these, but if it wears a bright and colourful scheme I will photograph them.

Looking on flight radar whilst having breakfast the only ones of note to that interested me was the departure of the Wamos Air A330 Back to Madrid and the Pegasus Airbus A321Neo which would fill a nice gap in the log book.

The following Aircraft where noted on my visits:

    TC-LTM Turkish Airlines Airbus A321Neo
    F-HBLG Air France EMB 190
    TC-SMA Sun Express Boeing 737Max8

After completing my job in Rugby I headed back into Birmingham via the airport for a quick drive past the crash gates. Afterwards I stopped for my lunch at the elmdon side.

A Quick Pop To Birmingham For a Ukraine Boeing 737 Classic

After another long day of driving all over the UK, I had seen that there was a Classic Boeing 737-300F night stopping at Birmingham. I had also been told it was nicely parked for a photograph.
So a quick detour of the M6 motorway I headed to Birmingham to see what was about.

Back To Good Old Birmingham

So tit was was back working around the Kitts Green area of Birmingham today. The runway in use today was runway 15, which was great because the aircraft was coming low over the area I was working and I could read the registrations off the aircraft without the scope.

There wasn't much that I required today apart from the Turkish Airlines Airbus A321Neo TC-LPN (which I managed to see from a job later in the day at West Bromwich, Whilst the aircraft was about to turn on to finals).

The following where noted at around 10:00 from the Multi Storey Car Park:

Sunday Supplement at Birmingham Airport

So again ended up at Birmingham Airport for a brief stop on the way back from a morning out in Tamworth trying to miss the heavy down pours.

Not much of interest in when I called round apart from a Sun Express Boeing 737-800 that was required. Having the wife and kids in tow I once again headed to my normal spotting place, the Elmdon Multi Storey Car Park to see what was about.

A few camera problems I have at the moment, where I can't upload off my camera to my computer, so i was just armed with my scope and notebook. Hope to sort this out soon.

Saturday Spotting Session With the Kids

Something what I've been wanting to do for most of the summer was take the girls to Sheldon Park to watch the aircraft arrive and depart whilst landing over the park. So today would be that day, runway 15 was in use, the weather from where I was at home seemed fine and a required Pegasus Airbus A321Neo heading to Birmingham made the trip a good idea.

We arrived there just past midday just at a Turkish Airlines Airbus A321Neo came screaming over our heads. My eldest seemed a little put off by the noise, but the youngest was loving it here and when the time came to leave we had a melt down!!!

Here's what was seen on our couple hours visit to Birmingham Airport today:

    TC-LPG Turkish Airlines Airbus A321Neo

Couple Of Visits To Birmingham Airport Either Side Of A Job In Solihull

Once again Solihull was my destination of work today. Having done a couple of jobs in the morning I once again ended up at the Elmdon Multi storey car park to have my lunch break. There wasn't much of interest due into the Airport for me. Pegasus sent a Boeing 737-800 instead of the usual mixture of Airbus A320 And A321Neo. One that I wasnt Sure if I needed or not was the Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200 EI-IKK which was operating the service from Cork.

The Following where noted around 1410:

    G-SUNP Jet2 Airbus A321Neo
    OM-OEX Jet2 Boeing 737-800
    F-HBLF Air France EMB190
    PH-NXS KLM cityhopper EMB 195E-2

Back To Work And Back To Birmingham

So it was back to work today. After going into the depot for my list of jobs I was off out and about the Solihull area and obviously I would be making a quick stop at Birmingham Airport. The star visitor today was La Compagnie’s other Airbus A321Neo F-HBUZ which was running late so I sadly missed.

So whilst in the Minworth area I managed to the Turkish Airlines Airbus A321Neo TC-LUP departing back to Istanbul.

The following where noted around 1130:

G-TUKX TUI Boeing 737-800
EI-EFH Ryanair Boeing 737-800
EI-DHX Ryanair Boeing 737-800

A Lovely Sunny Day In The Garden Seeing Aeroplanes On Approach To Birmingham Airport!

So as today was the last bank holiday of the year in England and the sun was beating down we decided to have a family day in the back garden. Pool out, BBQ out and then the youngest shouted "Look Daddy a Jet2". looking up she was rite a Jet2 Airbus A321Neo banking over my house.

Checking Flight Radar the runway in use was indeed. When This runway is in use I probably get around 40% of all traffic.

So from around midday this is what I noted:

    G-SUNC Jet2 Airbus A321Neo
    EI-IFW Ryanair Boeing 737Max8-200
    OE-LST easyjet Airbus A320Neo
    A7-BCV Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8
    9H-WME Wizz Air Airbus A321Neo
    G-JZBD Jet2 Boeing 737-800
    G-PEMB Aurigny ATR72
    G-TAWV TUI Boeing 737-800
    F-HBLD Air France EMB190
    EI-DWH Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    TC-SOB Sun Express Boeing 737 Max8
    G-DRTR Jet2 Boeing 737-800
    OM-LEX Jet2 Boeing 737-800
    G-SUND Jet2 Airbus A321Neo
    EI-IGO Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200
    EI-DPF Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    EI-IHW Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200
    9H-SWK Sun Express Airbus A320
    G-TUMP TUI Boeing 737Max8
    EI-DHX Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    PH-HSD KLM Boeing 737-800
    9H-VVS Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200
YL ABC Air Baltic Airbus A220

So around 1800 I'd had enough sun and went inside. Some new aircraft that I needed went the other way over Tamworth. "You Can't Win Em All"

Unexpected Visit To Birmingham

So as per everyday I’m always first up on my household. Make a fresh coffee or two whilst scanning through email checking on Facebook and or course the check to see what’s arriving at Birmingham. Today three arrivals caught my eye. The first one being the brand new (even maybe first revenue flight) Ryanair Boeing 737 Max8-200 EI-ILF. Sadly this one had already come and gone. The second of the three was La Compagnie Airbus A321Neo F-HNCO  which was arriving from New York Newark, And finally another first visit for an aircraft was former China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F TF-AKG now operated by Network Aviation. But with this running a little late this too was sadly missed.

So just a very small log, because by the time I got there all the morning holiday flight had long gone leaving a very quiet airport.

Noted from the Elmdon Multi Storey Car Park around 1015:

    D-ABGK Lufthansa Airbus A319
    F-HBLE Air France EMB190
    EI-DWC Ryanair Boeing 737-800
    F-HNCO La Compagnie Airbus A321Neo
    TC-SMK Sun Express Boeing 737Max8
    G-TUIA TUI Boeing 787-8
    G-TUID TUI Boeing 787-8
    EI-EBE Ryanair Boeing 737-800

A Magnificent Monday Spotting At Manchester Airport

So this week I’m on annual leave, and today was the only day I hadn’t got anything planned to do with the family. So after a lot of begging and pleading I managed to get a day spotting behind the camera.

So Manchester was my destination after those quick short visits during work really wetted the appetite to go. My last proper spotting trip here must of been 2019 before my flight to Stockholm.

Anyway back to today! My alarm was set to 05:15 opened the curtains hoping that gorgeous weather we’d had the last few days, and you guessed it cloud! Oh well. I left my house just before 0600 and arrived at Manchester Airport south side around 0715. The good thing of getting there early is you can park in the lay by or what I call the small parking area just off the island.

There have been some reports on social media that people are parking in front of the crash gates and other access point for the emergency services and the council in due course are going to make it a no parking area with red lines. At the moment this isn’t the case so just think where you park and don’t spoil it for others. There is a holiday inn about 500m down the road which I was told you can park for a charge.

After a two minute walk I was on one of the south side mounds and this is where I would stay until around 1330.

This was my view from the viewing mound.

Here’s what was logged from today’s Visit:
