On The Hunt For A Newly Delivered Boeing 777F

 

    So having seen that One Air had this morning taken delivery of the second brand new Boeing 777F, I called in at East Midlands Airport hoping to catch the new kid on the block. So after my work was done in Leeds I checked flight radar and it was still showing on the ground.

So after a large coffee from the local services I went Hunt for the 777.

Back Out On The Road And Back At Birmingham!

    So After a short period off work due to illness, I was back at it and hitting the UK motorway network heading to the Birmingham Airport Area. My first visit of the day was just to see what was about now that the summer time table is coming to an end. The second visit of the day was to catch one of the newer Jet2 Airbus A321Neo which is currently based at Birmingham. I expect the movements to start dying down fast now the main holiday season is over and a couple of airlines are pulling out for the winter time table.

Late Summer Early Morning Visit To Manchester

 

    Well it was back to my second home in the north this morning, Manchester Airport. So after a quick up at level 13 on the terminal one multi storey car park, I headed round to the south side viewing mounds. As I've said in my previous blogs when the sun is shining and it behind up there is no better place for me in the United Kingdom for plane spotting and photography.

Lunch Break At Birmingham

 

Another day another week but I still end up at my favourite place to take my lunch break. Today I had my break there for two reason. The first being a required Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 Max that had night stopped after operating a charter flight from Baku, which I had been told was bringing F1 teams back From the weekends racing. A Wet And Miserable Manchester Morning

 

    So work took me today to Stockport for my first job of the day. From where I was, I could hear the aircraft but due to the poor weather conditions they wasn't visible. How the weather has changed over the past few weeks. I have a few days off towards the end of the month so weather permitting I plan to venture once again to the South Side Spotting locations.

    So once my work was completed and was told to head back down the motorway back to the depot, I headed to Level 13 on the Car Park to catch the morning heavies!.

Monday Lunchtime Trip To East Midlands Airport

 

    So once again the weekend has come and gone so fast and back to work with a bang. This mornings jobs took me round to the Nottingham and Derby areas. You guessed it lunchtime at East Midlands Airport. I parked up by the crash gate at the 27 end of the runway by the East Midlands Gateway.     So as today was the last bank holiday of the year in England and the sun was beating down we decided to have a family day in the back garden. Pool out, BBQ out and then the youngest shouted "Look Daddy a Jet2". looking up she was rite a Jet2 Airbus A321Neo banking over my house.

A Day At The Beach Turned Out To Be A Day's Spotting

 

    A day trip to Weston Super Mare with the family turned out to be a spotting trip as well. This wasn't the plan when we started out from home. The skies were cloudy but after a two hour drive and not much traffic we arrived at the massive Weston Super Mare beach. The runway in use at Bristol today was 09. This meant passed over top of the western beach at around 4500ft well below the cloud, but by now was breaking up. In fact all the cloud soon disappeared and we were left with a lovely sunny day and stunning sun set.

    I wouldn’t  rush down to Bristol for a day spotting trip with it being very slow and the same based aircraft in and out all day. Airlines wise it’s mainly the normal three as at any other airport these days, easyJet Ryanair and jet2. Eastern Airways operated the Amsterdam service. Aer Lingus operated the ATR72 from Cork and Dubli, Blue Island operated an ATR72 from Jersey and Aurigny a ATR72 Guernsey.
